Earth Day Updates
In honor of Earth Day (which, appropriately enough, falls near the start of Taurus Season, the first earth sign on the karmic wheel) I’m taking a look at some of the top players so far this season who were left off each sign’s opening day roster.

FanGraphs Opening Day Tracker 2025
I discovered a really fun tool this offseason: the FanGraphs Opening Day Tracker. I used to rely on the rosters posted on each team’s official site, coupled with MLB.com’s fantasy rankings, to try and project starting lineups and rotations. But now I’ve found that Jason Martinez and the Roster Resource team has already done the work.

Earlier this week, I took a look at the top players who were acquired by National League teams in the 2024-25 offseason. Now it’s time to shift my focus from the senior to the junior circuit, to look at which American League teams had the most impactful trades and/or free agent signings.
