NBA 2024 Final Four
I recently came across a video explaining the origin story of the greatest basketball broadcasting theme song out there, which reminded me - the NBA playoffs have just advanced to the conference finals stage! There’s a variety of ways to enjoy Astrology Sports, but one of the most results-oriented is to look at the real-life teams closest to achieving a real-life championship, and see which signs helped get them there. So here’s which signs are the most represented in the 2024 NBA’s final four.
For the last several years, Pisces has had a lock on the NBA’s top talent, and the Fish command strong positions on three of the last four teams standing. The Mavericks and the Pacers each have a Pisces guard: Luka Doncic (4,219 points / 60.3 points-per-game) and Tyrese Haliburton (3,161 / 45.8), respectively. Boston has the top Pisces forward, in Jayson Tatum (3,263 / 44.1)… although on a team of only Pisceses (and not bound by fantasy eligibility rules), there’s no way that Anthony Davis (3,983 / 52.4) doesn’t move over from center to play the power forward position.
Speaking of centers, it’s ironic that the Denver Nuggets - the team with the top fantasy-scoring Pisces (and the top fantasy-scoring player in the NBA), Nikola Jokic (4,793 / 60.7) - just got eliminated from the postseason. However, keep in mind that Denver also has backup Pisces point guard Jamal Murray (2,213 / 37.5), so maybe it’s not a good idea to have too many players that share a sign on the real-life basketball court.
If that’s the case, it doesn’t bode well for Indiana, who has two Aries bigs in forward/center Pascal Siakam (2,946.5 / 36.8) and center/center Myles Turner (2,372.5 / 30.8). The only other Aries starter in the final four is Dallas guard Kyrie Irving (2,364.5 / 40.8). Sticking with the Mavs their center Daniel Gafford (2,235 / 30.2 split between Washington and Dallas) would start for Libra. The same is true for Minnesota point guard Mike Conley (2,069.5 / 27.2).
The top player on the Timberwolves is Leo “swing” player (if that’s the right slang for guard/forward) Anthony Edwards (3,117.5 / 39.5), who combines with COVID villain and Cancer Crab Rudy Gobert (2,910 / 38.3) to form a strong (if Pisces-less) top two. The only last sign which has a starter represented among playoff teams is Scorpio, with “swing” player Jaylen Brown (2,419 / 34.6) playing opposite Tatum on the Celtics.
Take a look at the charts above and let me know in the comments if you notice any patterns. Frankly, I’m so exhausted from just putting this list together that I can’t go any deeper. And yet, now that I’m done with this list, all I have is an emptiness that can only be filled with making another list. I hear the WNBA season just started…
